Some of our stand-out projects this year have included –
Bath Road, Brislington — Bristol
At Bath Road in Brislington, we carried out the demolition of an old factory building, alongside careful asbestos removal and sensitive hand-dismantling to respect local ecological concerns. The site has been prepared to await full planning approval for future social-housing development — underlining how Weaver’s work helps pave the way for regeneration and better use of urban land.

Cornwall College Camborne — Phase Two / Estate Rationalisation Works
This year, Weaver Demolition played a key role in the second phase of the redevelopment of Cornwall College Camborne — a substantial multi-million-pound programme to modernise the campus, rationalise the estate, and significantly reduce the footprint of redundant buildings on the site.
Our scope covered site clearance: disconnection of services, internal strip-out, licensed asbestos removal and demolition of outdated buildings. Once demolition was complete, we topsoiled and re-seeded the cleared plots so that they could become new soft-landscaped green areas.

By clearing dilapidated and under-utilised buildings and returning the land to landscaped open space, Weaver’s work supports Cornwall College’s ambition to create a more compact, sustainable, and learner-focused campus.
Holdsworth Foods, Essex — Demolition of Former Food Production Facility
Weaver Demolition also delivered works at a former Holdsworth Foods production facility in Essex, where we were appointed to carry out the full demolition of the redundant buildings and clear the site for future redevelopment.

Our team managed the licensed asbestos removal, careful soft-strip works and controlled building dismantling, ensuring all activities were completed safely and in line with best-practice environmental standards.
This project illustrates our ability to support commercial clients with end-of-life asset clearance, combining technical expertise with diligent safety and environmental management.
Derriford Hospital, Plymouth
In 2025, Weaver Demolition played a key role in enabling the redevelopment of Derriford Hospital — a major healthcare hub for Plymouth and the wider South-West region. The hospital is undergoing a significant expansion under the New Hospital Programme. The demolition and site-preparation works began in late 2024 and continued throughout this year.
By contributing to these enabling works, Weaver have helped clear the way for the future four-storey Emergency Care Building and associated facilities that will greatly expand the hospital’s capacity and patient care footprint.
Pydar Street, Truro — Cornwall Urban Regeneration
Weaver Demolition also delivered key demolition and clearance works at Pydar Street in Truro, Cornwall — preparing a complex site involving former retail, leisure and commercial buildings ready for redevelopment and regeneration.

Working closely with the project developers, our team took part in public meetings and community briefings to help residents understand the programme and to listen to local concerns. This early engagement meant we could plan and carry out our works in a sensitive, safe and respectful manner, with careful sequencing, clear communication and a strong focus on minimising disruption. The result was a safely prepared site ready for the next phase of this major redevelopment scheme, reflecting our commitment to professional delivery and community-focused working.
Pinesgate West, Bath — Soft-Strip and Structural Preparation for Future Reuse
Also this year, Weaver Demolition undertook soft-strip and internal demolition works at Pinesgate West in Bath — the 1980s office building on Lower Bristol Road that is now set to be refurbished into office accommodation under a new planning application.
Our scope focused on taking the building back to its structural frame: carefully stripping out interiors, removing redundant services, and preparing the shell of the building for a high-quality re-fit. Working in a building of this vintage, our team applied controlled dismantling techniques to limit dust, noise and disruption, and ensured materials were removed in a safe, compliant manner.
With Pinesgate West now clear and ready for its next phase of transformation, our work demonstrates Weaver’s capabilities in sensitive soft-strip and enabling works that support sustainable reuse of existing buildings.
Community & Reuse: Doing More Than Demolition
2025 also highlighted our long-standing commitment to giving back to the communities where we work and finding new ways to reuse and repurpose materials wherever possible. Earlier this year, after dismantling light-columns at a site in Taunton, we donated and reinstalled them for Bishop Sutton FC — a football club local to our headquarters. We also carried out the demolition of redundant greenhouses in Exeter at no cost to support a local community initiative.
Wherever opportunities arise, we aim to ensure that materials, components or assets from our projects are reused, repurposed or redistributed, rather than going to waste — an approach that benefits both the environment and the communities around us.
We also continued to support the Somer Valley Food Bank, part of the nationwide Trussell Trust network working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. Somer Valley provides nutritionally balanced emergency food and compassionate support to local people in crisis, and Weaver Demolition is proud to contribute to such an important cause.
Looking Ahead to 2026
We already have a number of interesting projects lined up for 2026, helping to ensure another busy and successful year for the business. One example is the work now underway at Passage Street in Bristol — part of a major redevelopment that will see the outdated 1970s office building replaced with a modern, sustainable commercial scheme. It’s exactly the kind of complex urban project where Weaver’s expertise in safe, efficient demolition and enabling works adds real value.

Alongside these new opportunities, we’ll be sharing even more behind-the-scenes videos from key projects throughout the year, giving a closer look at the people, processes and machinery that make our work possible. And with our new website launching in the first quarter of 2026, it will be easier than ever for clients, partners and the community to follow our progress.
