Weaver Demolition assisted in the pre-planning stage with the production of a full demolition specific construction phase health and safety plan as well as site specific method statements and traffic management plans. We liaised with the local authorities and established all necessary road and footpath closures to enable the project to be completed in the strict 8-week time frame set out to us.
Our scope of work included the demolition of the former buildings including the intricate temporary works, cutting and removal of a link bridge which adjoined a neighbouring property. All hardstanding’s were removed with hardcore arisings crushed on site.
The site had been hit quite severely during the WW2 bombing and as such a fully intrusive UXO survey was carried out to detect any unexploded ordnance which may have remained within the ground.
Finally, a drainage diversion was installed to separate the site entirely from the old system, allowing future construction work to go ahead un-hampered.
